Difficulties and countermeasures of stainless steel parts processing

In our processing of stainless steel parts should have encountered the same problem is: stainless steel parts processing difficult; As everyone knows, it is difficult to process the reason also lies in the choice of tool, the following to tell you what material tool, and stainless steel is difficult to process several reasons, and the solution:

1 in the automatic lathe turning stainless steel, the general use of carbide tool materials are: YG6, YG8, YT15, YT30, YW1, YW2 and other materials; The commonly used high-speed steel knife has: W18Cr4V, W6M05Cr4V2AL and other materials.

2, the selection of geometric Angle and structure of the tool is also particularly important:

Front Angle: general turning stainless steel tool Angle 10° ~ 20° is more suitable.

Rear Angle: generally 5° ~ 8° is more appropriate, the maximum is no more than 10°.

Angle of edge: generally, λ is -10° ~ 30°.

Blade surface roughness should not be greater than Ra0.4 ~ Ra0.2.

3, stainless steel parts processing difficulties are the following common:

1, machining hardness causes tool wear faster, and it is difficult to discharge chips.

2. Low thermal conductivity causes the plastic deformation of the cutting pin blade and faster tool wear.

3, chip tumor is easy to cause small pieces of chip to stay on the cutting pin blade, and cause poor processing surface.

4, the chemical relationship between the tool and the processed material caused by work hardening and the low thermal conductivity of the processed material, not only easy to cause unusual wear and tear, but also the tool edge and abnormal rupture.

4, the solutions to the processing difficulties are as follows:

1. Use knives with high thermal conductivity.

2, sharp cutting edge edge line: chip breaker blade belt is wider, can reduce the cutting pressure, so that can well control chip removal.

3, the best cutting conditions: inappropriate processing conditions will reduce the tool life.

4, choose the appropriate tool: stainless steel tool should have excellent toughness, cutting edge strength and coating film binding force should be relatively high.
